I drove to my local B & B to pick up a six pack of Lagunitas (a post for another time). Little did I know, this B & B was holding a gem. I saw a bottle of KBS and I was intrigued, and decided to give it a try. I was delighted to discover that this was a rare stout that is one of the best in the industry. It is an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels. Founder’s Brewing did a great job with this stout while not naming an outrageous price for a limited release. This is a stout that I will judge other stouts against for some time to come.
Most people have heard of Guinness, but far less have tried it. It is an old company, and is considered part of the history of Dublin. After all, what’s more Irish than Guinness? This is a classic beer that I can’t get enough of. Drnkability-wise, this is one of the more drinkable stouts on the market. This company has been serving high quality beer since 1759. That year, Arthur Guinness signed a 9,000 year lease on a brewery in Dublin, still there to this day. This 9,000 year lease proved that the name Guinness was here to stay. He was right, because today Guinness is an international brand recognized nearly everywhere.
Why I’m Drinking a Beer? In Short: Finals I am in college. I will tell you one thing about finals week in college if you don’t already know. It’s a bitch. For a student finals week is hell week. A lively college town can turn into a pit of stress and despair overnight. That’s why...
There are many events and occasions that call for a beer, but some are better than others. Beer doesn’t always have to be complex to taste great. Here are some types of beer that many, including myself, enjoy.
This is a limited release stout that Goose Island releases every year on Black Friday. I was fortunate enough to live near a B & B that was releasing this rare brew. If this tells you something about the demand for this beer, the line was out the door, and this was not a small B & B. This place is the size of a warehouse and craft beer lovers were lined up out the door to buy this beer at $12.99 per bottle. I don’t know about you, but it isn’t every day that I buy a bottle of beer at that price. After all, I’m a freelance writer and not writing for the Times, so I’m not exactly raking it in. That being said, considering what little money I have, it was still worth the buy. This year, Goose Island released seven variants of their bourbon county stout and I was able to purchase four of those variants. Now, time to get down to the beer.
CBD is what many people are calling a miracle drug. Others may call it a superfood. Whichever you prefer to call it, CBD is a health trend that is sweeping the nation. This being said, personally, CBD has changed my life for the better, and it could change yours too.
Do you need a pounder can for a party, but only cobwebs occupy your wallet? Have you ever wanted to kick back with a cold one, but shriek at the sight of your bank account? Well, this article will give you the lowdown on how to hop to it without breaking the bank. I will be rating beers on a scale of one to five for both price and taste. The overall score will be an average of the two. Now, keep in mind that I am rating the profile of these beers based on what you get for the price, not based on their taste compared to the best beers on the market. Today we will consider the good, the bad, and the terribly and awfully malty in the world of beer.

A beautiful holiday it is. In order to ensure Thanksgiving goes as smooth as possible, here are some tips to start conversation at Thanksgiving dinner. With food, football, and festivities what could possibly go wrong?
Earlier this week, it was reported by two of Hillary Clinton’s former campaign advisors that a 2020 run would be likely. There has been no official statement from Clinton, but she has not denied the possibility of a presidential run in 2020. Today I would like to objectively discuss why this could be disastrous for the democratic party. To be clear, I am not saying that Hillary Clinton will definitely run in 2020, but that if she does, it could be the worst choice for a candidate the Democratic Party could make.
A word of caution The United States economy seems to be in a period of prosperity. Our economy is booming, but there are problems around the corner. The United States Economy is expanding too fast for its own good. This is because the economy is at full employment, inflation is starting to rise, gross domestic...
